  1. Yet another reason to hold the next nominating convention over Labor Day 2011. The LP should have candidate in place so petitioning isn’t screwed up, so the candidate can have more time to put state campaign teams in place, and so the candidate can get around to all the major state conventions in 2012 and rev up the troops who can’t afford to attend national conventions. Someone please put this on the LNC’s agenda for Dec.’08 so location and hotel can be arranged.

  2. For top of the minute news about the LNC/Barr lawsuit threatened in New Hampshire, read my report on

I also have some interesting data on how Bob Barr is spending your money.

  3. Roscoe,

Shane Cory and Aaron Starr deliberately drug their feet on ballot access starting in 2007. They chose to spend money on other things and worked against spending money up front on ballot access. The timing of the 2008 convention was only a partial constraint.

  4. Wes,

I can understand Aaron Starr not wanting to spend money the LNC did not have, but what was Shane Cory’s rationale? And why didn’t Starr push for setting aside the money that would be needed.

    George

  5. George,

Based on the phone call I just received from Shane Cory, I think I’ll make it an entry of its own.
