  2. I just showed this to Little Bit. She almost fell out of her chair laughing and then said that many “U.S. Americans are unable to do so” because our government wants us dumb “such as.”

    Of course, Little Bit is 16 and started college full time today. She can not only point out the U.S. on a world map, but most other countries as well. She can then start talking about the politics, monetary units, languages, customs, and religions of said countries.

    Yes, my Little Bit is a beauty and a brain.

  3. Bah! If she knows the difference between a shekel, a drachma, and a shilling in twenty years — then she’ll be a sad, sad, lonely person (I kid). For now, yeah — good sign for your parental skills. Especially considering that you actually got her in college. I remember the blog entries on here ’bout that little ray of sunshine experience. :) Oh — speaking of old entries by you; you might want to reconsider your sunbathing habits in light of the CIA & NSA handing over access to real-time satellite surveillance footage to local police, nationwide. Just a thought.

    I’ll have more to say on the video when I’m somewhere the firewall doesn’t prevent it from existing. :)

I mean, if her brain is fully formed (happens around age 15-16, people!) and she would bleed every month barring physiological changes (pregnancy) or medical adaptation (the pill), I don’t see what makes it the same as going after a prepubescent. Physiologically speaking, the one is ‘natural’; the other is not. So why are they the same in the eyes of the law?

    Mostly cultural. Parents are (in most cases) charged with caring for their (biologically adult) children up to age 18, and many are financially, mentally and emotionally immature even after that age (much thanks to policies created to insure a compliant populace).

    Of course, lusting after teenagers is even more disturbing now that there is an outside chance any of them could be one of my illegitimate biological children, but lust alone doesn’t violate the law, nor create more teenage pregnancies. I did way more than enough of that when I was a teenager myself, so there’s no need to put thoughts into action any longer.

    What makes you so sure that I am not drooling and panting over her now, having obscene fantasies of disgusting acts involving flags, unusual costumes, electrical devices, ether, lsd, liquor, and her mom in the back seat of a Cadillac.

    However, you didn’t address the issue of U.S. Americans not having maps.

    In fact, nobody is really addressing this issue. Other Americans may not give a damn, but real U.S. Americans want maps.

  22. I was actually more surprised that anyone even asked this girl the question, than I was that she couldn’t answer it coherently. I’ve come to expect nothing more from people, especially those that seek a public position.

    As a degreed geographer it is disturbing to me how many people have no knowledge of the world around them, nor do they care, present company excluded. I don’t think U.S. Americans are alone in this regard, but I do think we lead the world in such as like the Iraq and South Africa I believe personally (as opposed to community belief in such as for the a an of by to too two).

    There, their, they’re buck up little camper. Someday, you’ll be a real boy!
